With over 30 years of working with people from diverse backgrounds, Dan brings a genuine passion and understanding of people and how they function together in teams. As a leadership coach and trusted advisor, Dan engages conversations with careful listening and thought-provoking questions which lead to new levels of awareness and clarity that move clients forward.

Dan holds Bachelor and Masters degrees, but more so considers himself an on-going learner as a student of people and life.

Here's how Dan describes his work:
My focus is on the people side of organizations. The most effective organizations are the ones that work together the best and are rowing in the same direction, right? I help teams maximize their cohesion (how they work together) and clarity (all rowing in the same direction) so that they advance and multiply their effectiveness and impact. It's fun... and it works!
My current work in consulting with executives and their teams is helping them to build greater trust, cohesion and lead to increased organizational effectiveness. While my work is built on a foundation of building genuine and trusting relationships with my clients, I also empower clients with proven tools, assessments and resources, helping them achieve greater clarity, overcome obstacles, and move forward with confidence.
I am currently working with CEO's and their Executive Teams, School District (Board and Cabinet), non-profits and individual leaders. The issues of organizational health apply to all industries – any organization that has people! Investing in the people, and how they work together, provides a tremendous value and advantage to any organization. In addition to working with teams, I am a certified Leadership Coach and enjoy helping individual leaders develop their strengths and achieve their goals.
Emily Morrison
As Operations Manager and Consultant, Emily advances the important work being done at Haakenson Consulting through engaging with teams and leading strategic initiatives to drive client satisfaction and business growth.
From a young age, Emily has had a curiosity about people and how they interact. Fueled by a desire to understand more, Emily studied psychology in her undergrad years. It was there that she was introduced to Organizational Psychology, which looks at how people interact at work and how to improve effectiveness within organizations. Out of her passion to cultivate healthy and thriving organizations, she went on to obtain her Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology where she studied coaching and consulting.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys making sourdough bread, reading a good novel at the beach, and doing just about anything with her husband.
